Asset usage rules

• Unlocked assets are for your Episode stories (Featured / Official OK when you are the author).
• Credit Elzbiet for backgrounds and overlays; code needs no credit, but do not claim it as yours.
• Do not resell, redistribute files, or share unlock downloads outside your own projects.

Unlocking an asset grants a personal license to use it in your Episode Interactive stories. These rules apply to vault items, Members Pantry drops, overlays, templates, mini-games, and code snippets. For billing and accounts, see Terms of Service.

Allowed uses

• Use unlocked assets in stories you write in the Episode app or Episode Writer Portal.
• Use assets in Featured and Official Episode stories when you are the purchasing author.
• Use overlays, templates, and script helpers inside your chapters as intended.
• Re-download files from My assets for your own projects.
• Copy outfit item names from Featured Outfits into Episode's wardrobe search. Lookbooks list names, not downloadable CC files.

Credit in your story

• Backgrounds and overlays (visual materials): please credit Elzbiet Zaleski in your story notes or credits when you use them.
• Code (templates, script overlays, mini-games, helpers): no credit required.
• Do not credit yourself for CookieCodeJar code or claim you wrote it. Passing my work off as yours is not allowed.

Collaborations

• You may use purchased backgrounds and overlays in a story you co-write with another author.
• Co-authors must not reuse those files in their own separate stories or accounts.
• Prefer keeping assets on the Episode account that unlocked them, or on a shared Episode account both writers use.
• Do not send raw asset files to collaborators unless they also have a valid unlock on their own CookieCodeJar account.

Not allowed

• Redistributing, reselling, or publicly posting raw asset files (Google Drive folders, Discord leaks, asset packs, etc.).
• Claiming you created CookieCodeJar backgrounds, overlays, or code when you did not.
• Using assets outside Episode Interactive without written permission from me.
• Sharing your CookieCodeJar login or unlock access with others.

Members Pantry and tier access

Members Pantry and full Featured Outfits require an active paid tier (or whatever the site shows at unlock time). If your membership lapses, you lose access to browse and download new pantry items and full lookbooks, but assets you already unlocked stay in My assets under these same usage rules.

Custom overlays

Overlay requests produce assets for your account. The same personal-use rules apply. Do not republish an overlay made for you as a generic pack for other authors.

If you upload a reference image with your request, I (Elzbiet Zaleski / CookieCodeJar) use it only to make your overlay. I will not sell, resell, republish, or reuse your reference photos for my own stories, marketing, social posts, asset packs, or any purpose outside fulfilling that request. Reference files are removed from server storage when your overlay is delivered (or when you cancel a pending request).

When in doubt

If your use case is not listed (other apps, commissions, bundled story templates, etc.), ask first on Ko-fi or Instagram. I would rather clarify upfront than chase misuse later.

Enforcement

Breaking these rules may result in revoked access, account suspension, or legal action where appropriate. I may update these rules; the date above shows the latest version.
