Stagecraft Light Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Stagecraft Light browser extension only (Abbreviations and // Quick Commands for the Episode Writers Portal). For CookieCodeJar website accounts and memberships, see CookieCodeJar Privacy Policy.

Who we are

Stagecraft Light ("the extension") is an unofficial browser extension for the Episode Writers Portal chapter editor. It is developed independently by Cookie (contact: keyshmir@proton.me). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Episode Interactive, Pocket Gems, or any related company.

What data is stored

The extension stores the following only in your browser, on the Episode Writers Portal origin (localStorage for episodeinteractive.com):

• stagecraft-quickcommands - your quick command list (// triggers and bodies)
• stagecraft-abbrevs - your abbreviation list (triggers and expansions)
• stagecraft-theme - color theme preference
• stagecraft-quick-prefs - Light-only prefs (abbrev case sensitivity, Content view filters, Value hop shortcut, UI font size, hop demo dismissal)

It may also read public page context needed for those features (for example the open story identifier, so story-specific items can filter correctly, and editor / stage helper text when expanding a command). That context is used in the moment to run the feature; it is not uploaded anywhere by the extension.

What we do not do

• We do not collect accounts, emails, or analytics.
• We do not send your commands, abbreviations, scripts, or preferences to our servers (there are none for this extension).
• We do not sell or share user data with third parties.
• We do not use advertising SDKs or trackers.
• We do not request broad browsing-history permissions. The extension only runs on Episode Writers Portal chapter URLs (https://*.episodeinteractive.com/write/*, excluding outfit pages).

How data is used

Stored items exist solely so Abbreviations, Quick Commands, theme, and related UI prefs work the next time you open a chapter. Use of any information handled by the extension is limited to providing that single purpose.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use: The use of information received from Google APIs (if any) will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Stagecraft Light does not call Google user-data APIs; this statement is included for Store policy completeness.

Retention and deletion

Data stays in your browser until you clear it. You can remove it by:

• Deleting items inside the Coding Buddy panel, and/or
• Clearing site data for episodeinteractive.com in your browser, and/or
• Uninstalling the extension (site localStorage may remain until you clear site data)

Children

The extension is intended for Episode writers using the Writers Portal. It is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
